Mumbai Indian is one of the most complete teams in IPL 2024, having a strong chance of winning a sixth IPL title. On the other hand, Punjab Kings with Captain Shikhar Dhawan, and his opening pair’s performances made the PK team.
CSK, SRH, MI & GT are the top 4 teams in IPL 2024 that are strong enough to claim this year’s title of IPL.
CSK:
Out of these four IPL teams, CSK is strongest in every department of the game. This team has the highest all-rounders. Last year they were weak in bowling but this year their pacer front team- Deepak Chahar is completely fit & Shardul is back. R Jadeja is in form. Pathirana will perform this time.
RCB:
Other teams like RCB lack a bowling department. They have genuine foreign bowlers like Ferguson & Reece Toply. Out of these two only one will be available in the playing XI. Because the maximum allowable foreigners would be in playing 11 are 4. And Faf du Plessis, Cameron Green & Glenn Maxwell. a
RCB has a willow strength. A batting line-up comprising Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, and Rajat Patidar, their well-balanced top five can bat against any opposition. But they Lack of quality spin attacks for them, this is an issue with the team in IPL 2024.
MI:
Mi didn’t play like a team last year, they were incredible last year but not consistent. This year they have many good players but a new captain. Players are not interested in playing under Hardik Pandya. So this may be an issue for the team.
Jasprit Bumrah will receive the support of Coetzee and Madushanka in the IPL 2024. Another youngster, Akash Madhwal will also be curious to show off his bowling mettle and become an asset for the MI side. Jason Behrendorff is another quality pacer who has the potential to beat batters with a pace and swing. Batters Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Tim David are known for playing big shots. Rohit can be a dangerous player in the powerplay overs. The addition of Pat Cummins could revitalize SRH’s fast-bowling unit. In the earlier IPL edition, only expert bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar looked fine in the team. In 2024, Cummins will provide good support to Bhuvneshwar but will also form a formidable trio with him and Umran Malik.
The weakness of the SRH team lies in the domestic player’s form and performances. Indian players like Mayank Agarwal, Samad, Umran Malik, and W Sunder are running out of form. This is going to be the worst issue for the team management of SRH.
GT:
GT is going to play with a young new captain. There are players like Williamson & wade to groom Gill. It will be tough for Gill to focus on both his batting & captaincy. Pat Cummins, with remarkable achievements such as winning the World Cup and Test Championship, aims to assert his leadership in the IPL. Despite his IPL entry in 2014, he is looking for his first IPL title as captain, possibly the experience of his role in Australian T20 cricket.
International players Shubman Gill, David Miller, Rashid Khan, and Mohammed Shami make Gujarat a fighting side. In the last two years, all these players have played a vital role in making GT one of the most successful franchises in the cash-rich league. In this season, Kane Williamson will also be in action. The Kiwi batsman’s comeback will strengthen the Titans’ batting.

KKR:
KKR’s batting unit has some match-winning batters like Jason Roy, Shreyas Iyer, Andre Russell, Nitish Rana, Venkatesh Iyer, and Rinku Singh. All these are capable of facing quality bowling in any conditions to their favour. Sunil Narine has not gathered a lot of runs in the last two seasons. Still, he also can change the face of the game with his batting.
Knight Riders will have the best spin attacks in the 2024 tournament. Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy were already there on the KKR side. And now, they also have a young spinner from Afghanistan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman at very high price from the auction.
The weakness of KKR is Opening bowling by pacers. They do not have a quality pace attack at the moment. They have Mitchell Starc on their side now. But after releasing Lockey Ferguson, Umesh Yadav and Tim Southee like attackers, they have tried to fill up that big gap with in experienced Atkinson and Chetan Sakariya. Sakariya is struggling with his form from the last IPL season. The bowling unit of KKR looks a little inexperienced due to this. Atkinson will also have to prove his worth on Indian soil with consistent performance for his IPL team. This is a major concern for the fast-bowling side of KKR.
LSG:
LSG carries a sensational and decisive batting lineup of international stars like Devdutt Padikkal, Quinton de Kock, KL Rahul, Kyle Mayers, and Nicholas Pooran, each having the capacity to turn the game around. With this depth, applying targets or chasing becomes easy. Also, LSG enjoys a pool of classic all-rounders like Mayers, Willey, Hooda, Krunal Pandya, and Stoinis, giving versatility and strength to the team in the batting and bowling areas.
Lucknow SuperGiants’ success in IPL 2024 relies on their fast attack performance. Mainly, in the death overs.
